Fellowships

The Wainwright Fund supports three year Postdoctoral Research Fellowships and, when possible, six-month and one-year Early Career Fellowships. The Fellowships provide opportunities for outstanding early career scholars to obtain research experience in the field of non-classical archaeology (not literary or philological studies) of any country or countries of Northern Africa and the Near East (from Morocco to Afghanistan).

We currently have a Research Fellow, Dr Akshyeta Suryanarayan, appointed in 2023: https://www.arch.cam.ac.uk/directory/as2429 . See below images from her research.
